GI Blink Payments
GI Blink Payments Wordpress Extension for Woocommerce. BlinkPay offers an API for businesses to receive online payments through mobile money. This plugin is developed to extend the features of woocommerce to allow acceptance of online payments through BlinkPay for merchants in Uganda.
Getting Started
These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.
Prerequisites
PHP 7.2 or greater is recommended MySQL 5.6 or greater is recommended WordPress 4.7 or greater is recommended WooCommerce 3.0 or greater is required
Installing
Automatic installation
Automatic installation is the easiest option – WordPress will handles the file transfer, and you won’t need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of BlinkPay, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu, and click “Add New.”
In the search field type “BlinkPay,” then click “Search Plugins.” Once you’ve found us, you can view details about it such as the point release, rating, and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by! Click “Install Now,” and WordPress will take it from there.
Manual installation
Manual installation method requires downloading the BlinkPay plugin and uploading it to your web server via your favorite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.
Updating
Automatic updates should work smoothly, but we still recommend you back up your site.
Configuration
Demo
- Log into your WordPress dashboard,
- Navigate to Plugins menu, and click “All Plugins”,
- Go to BlinkPay Plugin, and click “Configure”,
- On BlinkPay settings page, select “Enable Blink Payments”,
- Select “Use IPN”,
- Select “Use Demo Gateway”,
- Enter your “BlinkPay Demo Username” and “BlinkPay Demo Password”,
- Save changes,
- And wholla, you can test mobile money payments on your WooCommerce shopping cart.
Live
- Log into your WordPress dashboard,
- Navigate to Plugins menu, and click “All Plugins”,
- Go to BlinkPay Plugin, and click “Configure”,
- On BlinkPay settings page, select “Enable Blink Payments”,
- Select “Use IPN”,
- Enter your “BlinkPay Username” and “BlinkPay Password”,
- Save changes,
- And wholla, your payments are active, Your customers can now pay you using mobile money.
